So many Bahamians were in Trinidad recently for the uber popular carnival event, whew!! We could hardly get enough of the photos and videos circulating on social media.
In their sparkly, glittery and feathery costumes, our ladies and guys certainly put on for the 242 and represented us well while enjoying the fetes and parties!
But while some Bahamians were jabbin’ and dancin’ Marv “Mixologist” Cunningham was mixin’ drinks and winning competitions!

He won!
Marv shared the good news in a lengthy post on his Facebook page recently.
“I have always said, winning awards are the icing on the cake, but encouraging and inspiring others while you elevate yourself is truly the main ingredient,” he said. “Preparing for this competition was not easy, however in the end it was totally worth it. What is so memorable about this competition is it all happened during Trinidad & Tobago’s Carnival. I got to savor and feel for myself one of the greatest cultural expressions in the world. Words cannot describe my experience but I will say I would do it again, again and again.”
Marv said he went head to head with eight of the best mixologists from around the world.
“Our bond was so great that I actually forgot that I was there to compete against them. I can’t wait to visit you all in your respective markets and make amazing cocktails and share some Angostura.”
Marv says he’s happy to be a global brand ambassador for the House of Angostura while representing his country and the Caribbean!
