Any time’s a good time for rum, food and culture. And the team at Rum Bahamas knows this to be fact. So for three straight days they’re putting on the first annual Festival Rum Bahamas at Fort Charlotte where visitors cannot only sip, sample and taste 30 delicious rums from around the world but learn how this “delicacy” is so embedded in Bahamian culture, how it’s made and why we’re so addicted!
The Youth, Sports and Culture Minister Danny Johnson put his stamp of approval on the event calling it “the renaissance of what’s to come.” He says Festival RumBahamas is the first of 10 major festivals the ministry will be endorsing as 2014 has been dubbed the year of culture in The Bahamas. From pirate re-enactments, fire dancing and limbo, vendors selling their goodies and of course food, Festival Rum Bahamas will have it all. Fort Charlotte will be transformed into a fun, interactive maze exploring everything to do with food, culture and of course RUM!
The Festival is slated for the 21st, 22nd & 23rd of February!
